Mood Board
My mood board consists of a variety of different pictures. I have tried to add as many pictures that I hope to involve on my magazine cover. Firstly, there will be many different font styles that I will be able to choose from, there will be certain pieces of text that will be large and some pieces that will only be small, others will be bold and others will only be normal. I have a variety that I can chose from so I can always change my mind if I need to.
Secondly, I have involved many photos of people at college which will be very important in my magazine because it will show that college is a great place to be and many people enjoy it. The photos will also show that students work hard and are determined to do well at college. I have also involved many photos of different colleges, which again is very handy because it shows the reader what colleges look like. On my cover I hope to have a photo of a student most likely holding books and standing in front of a college. However, I may change this idea and the student may be placed in a different area.
Furthermore, I have put some examples of contents page's on my mood board. All the examples I have provided are quite different but that will help me when creating mine because I will be able to see all the different ways things are created and also all the different styles there are. I have also given some examples of college logos which will help me to see what different logos look like and will help me with choosing a good house style.
Next, you can see that I have added an opening's time on my mood board, this will help with my final piece because it allows me to put that information onto a magazine which will be helpful for a customer as they need to know when a college opens. I have also provided information about a course finder, if I used this for my real magazine I probably wouldn't write much about it I may just say something about it in a feature story.
On top of that, I have also provided a picture of different colours which demonstrates that I am going to concentrate a lot on the house style of the magazine as I want colours to work well together and not make the cover look unattractive. I have also shown some examples of different website names and designs. The website is important as I would want customers to know where they could go if they needed to buy something or they needed help,
Lastly, I have shown some college magazines that already exist, I have put these on because it shows that I would like my final product to look like them or something similar because they look very professional. I have also shown a Twitter and Facebook logo, this is because I would want people to be able to talk about the magazine and also interact with people who help with the magazine.
