Front Cover Drafts

Front Cover Drafts

When creating my front cover I changed a lot of the ideas I had thought up when I was planning to create the front cover. When making the front cover I spent a lot of time trying to find the correct fonts, sizes, images and more. I have made 3 different drafts that have been created on Photoshop including my final front cover. I have this many drafts because I want to show the process I have been through and also what type of features I have changed in the process because I may not have liked them in the first place. Here are my drafts:

Draft 1

Draft 2

Final Draft

I have changed a variety of conventions throughout this process. One of the big things I changed was the mast head, I did this because the first one I had created did not go with the house style and it did not go well with the rest of the conventions on the front cover, I decided to change the name of the mast head as well because I felt 'Amplify' was a better name for the magazine rather than 'Plectrum'. I also struggled to fit the word 'Plectrum' onto the front cover so this is another reason I changed the mast head. I have used the majority of the feature stories I planned out as I thought I would have changed them a few times throughout the process.
